    Child and Adolescent Psychologist

    **The Child and Adolescent Mood Program (CAMP)** **and the Child and Adolescent Clinic in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University** are accepting applications for a position for a Clinical Psychologist, **Assistant Professor** . Applications will be accepted and reviewed until the position is filled. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of selected applicant. The department is housed in excellent facilities with very attractive clinic and research space.

    **Job Description:** One-half of the position time will be spent conducting research evaluations and assessements of Major Depression and provision of Behavioral Activation therapy for depressed teens (aged 15-17) as part of an ongoing NIMH funded clinical trial as well as participation in other ongoing CAMP research endeavors. The other one-half of the position will be spent providing individual and group therapy for Emory Clinic child and adolescent patients. The person in this position may form and lead groups for specific disorder(s). In addition to the evaluation and treatment of depressed teens, clinical conditions for indicidual treatment will likely include mood dysregulation, anxiety, and OCD. Teaching of Psychology and Psychiatry trainees is also expected as part of the position. In addition to clinical expertise, the successful applicant will have research expertise demonstrated by prior research and scholarly publications, and it is expected that the faculty member in this position will apply for external research funding (e.g, a K23 or equivalent application) during the first two years of the appointment.

    **Qualifications:** The candidate must have obtained a Ph.D. degree in clinical psychology from an APA and/or a PCSAS accredited program, have completed an internship accredited by the American Psychological Association, and have completed a year of post-doctoral experience by the time of employment. The candidate must have a current license to practice issued by the GA State Board of Examiners of Psychologists or be eligible for that license in the state of GA. The person in this position is expected to possess the ability to work successfully in a complex research/clinical environment and to communicate effectively. Recommended start date: September 1, 2026 or later as appropriate.
