    Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control

     

    \(LMMFC\) Lufkin, TX is seeking a motivated and

    driven Quality Engineer to support the PAC 3 CLS

    Program\. As a recognized designer, developer

    and manufacturer of Command Launch Systems

    and defense systems for the U\.S\. and

     

    allied militaries, LMMFC offers the vital

     

    capabilities needed to provide our war fighting

    and civilian customers the products and services

    they need in their defining moments\. Quality

     

    Engineers at LMMFC act as an integrated

     

    member of the design and production teams

     

    developing and reviewing quality standards,

     

    methods, work instructions and procedures for

    the inspection of manufactured and procured

    products\. To ensure our customer gets the

     

    highest level of Quality, our Quality Engineers

    review/approve documentation related to

    internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure requirements are fulfilled\. In order to

     

    perform required tasks overtime \(that is time

     

    worked in excess of a 40 hour work week\) may

    be required at the discretion of

    management\. In a culture of continuous

     

    improvement our

     

    department utilizes lean initiatives to reduce

     

    waste and drive affordability and efficiency\.

     

    Working with an integrated team which includes

     

    customers, suppliers and other functional

     

    personnel, non\-conformances are identified,

     

    trended and resolved in a timely manner\.

     

    As a vital member of the team, a Quality

     

    Engineer at Missiles and Fire Control evaluates

     

    the designs, both electrical and mechanical, to

     

    ensure a producible product is being proposed

     

    with processes in place for a smooth production

     

    flow\.

     

    Must be a US Citizen\.; This position will require a government security clearance\.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related Engineering/Technology from an accredited college\.

    • Must be a US Citizen\.; This position will require a government security clearance\.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access\.

    Desired Skills:

    • Able to interpret drawings and specifications to

     

    develop and apply quality test and inspection

     

    methods and able to translate into work

     

    instruction\.

     

    • Ability to apply decision\-making and judgement

     

    in a fast\-paced manufacturing environment\.

     

    • Ability to work in a collaborative and team\-based environment\.

    **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

    **Clearance Level:** Secret

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
