In this position...
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor to lead the management and optimization of our Supplier Improvement Metrics application within the Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) team. This critical role involves overseeing the functionality, data integrity, and continuous improvement of the application that tracks and analyzes supplier performance metrics. The Supervisor will ensure the application effectively supports the STA team's efforts in driving supplier quality, efficiency, and overall performance, fostering a data-driven approach to supplier development and problem-solving.
What you'll do...
Application Management & Oversight:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Supplier Improvement Metrics application.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of all supplier performance data within the application.
- Collaborate with IT, development teams, and external vendors to implement system upgrades, new features, and resolve technical issues.
- Manage user access, provide technical support, and conduct training for STA team members and other stakeholders on effective use of the application.
- Develop and maintain documentation for application processes, user guides, and system configurations.
Metrics Development & Reporting:
- Lead the definition, implementation, and monitoring of key supplier performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics within the application.
- Design, generate, and present comprehensive reports and dashboards on supplier performance trends, risks, and improvement initiatives to management and cross-functional teams.
- Utilize data analytics and statistical tools to identify areas for improvement and support data-driven decision-making.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of specialists or analysts focused on supplier metrics and application support.
- Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
- Prioritize team workload and ensure efficient allocation of resources to meet departmental objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team, encouraging the adoption of best practices in data management and supplier quality.
Supplier Technical Assistance Integration:
- Work closely with the STA team to understand their data and application needs, translating business requirements into technical solutions within the metrics application.
- Support STA engineers in leveraging application data for root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and supplier development programs.
- Facilitate the use of the application to track progress on supplier improvement initiatives and validate their effectiveness.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Identify opportunities for process and system improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of supplier performance monitoring.
- Ensure the metrics application and associated processes comply with internal quality standards, industry regulations (e.g., ISO, IATF), and company policies.
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier quality management, quality assurance, or a related role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
Proven experience in managing or administering a quality management system, supplier performance management software, or a similar data-intensive application.
Strong understanding of quality control techniques, methodologies, and statistical analysis (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, 8D, Pareto, Ishikawa).
Proficiency in quality management software and tools, and strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and motivate a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

This position is a leadership salary grade 6.
