Join a great team in a great location in our newly air-conditioned plant in Cheektowaga, NY. We are in need of a **Warehouse Associate on 3rd Shift.**

The Warehouse Associate handles the shipping and receiving in our warehouse. **This is a temp to hire role** **.**

Rate: $17.50 / hour** **plus $1.50 / hour for 3** **rd** **shift differential.

Hours: Sunday through Thursday: 11PM to 7AM

Training: Must be willing to train on 1st shift for 2 weeks from 7AM to 3PM Monday - Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Read shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

+ Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.

+ Sort and place materials on racks or shelves according to a predetermined sequence.

+ Fill orders for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute inbound materials.

+ Wrap pallets to be shipped out.

+ Load and unload inbound and outbound freight.

+ Sweep up warehouse and dock areas, organize work areas, and keep supplies stocked.

+ Maintain work area per food safety requirements.

+ Other projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

+ High school or equivalent education.

+ Minimum of 1-year warehouse experience is required.

+ Forklift certification is required.

+ Computer skills are required for data entry.

+ High level of physical activity, including standing for long periods of time, lifting/maneuvering up to 50 lbs.

+ Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills to communicate and coordinate effectively with internal personnel and external carriers.

+ Ability to read, comprehend and write simple correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers or fellow employees.

+ Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

+ Work in a manufacturing setting utilizing computers, dollies, forklifts, hand-held measuring devices or scanners, hand tools, safety knives, packaging equipment, pallet jacks, standard safety equipment.
