    The Associate Manager, Digital Distribution is responsible for managing a curated set of U.S. and select Canadian digital retail accounts, referred to as portfolio accounts. These accounts, while smaller than flagship partners, are strategically important for driving incremental revenue, optimizing product placement, and supporting key marketing initiatives. The Associate Manager ensures efficient day-to-day operations, executes new release and catalog campaigns, and works closely with internal teams—including the U.S. and Canadian transactional teams—to meet SPE’s business objectives and account-specific priorities. Additionally, this role provides support to the Executive Director on Fandango at Home, assisting with promotions and operational needs.

    Responsibilities

    Portfolio Account Management

     

    + Act as the primary point of contact for portfolio accounts in the U.S. and Canada, representing SPE’s priorities and interests.

    + Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring timely execution of placements, promotions, and activations.

    + Maintain high standards of account performance, identifying opportunities to support growth and enhance partnerships.

    + Liaise with the Canadian transactional team to ensure alignment and consistent execution across markets.

    + Monitor portfolio performance and escalate issues or opportunities to the Executive Director.

     

    Support for Fandango at Home

     

    + Provide assistance to the Executive Director on Fandango at Home.

    + Help coordinate promotions, campaigns, and operational activities for this account as needed.

     

    New Release & Catalog Support

     

    + Coordinate and execute new release campaigns and catalog initiatives across U.S. and Canadian portfolio accounts.

    + Recommend promotional strategies, pricing adjustments, and title selections to optimize revenue.

    + Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient and consistent execution of campaigns.

     

    Reporting & Insights

     

    + Track account performance and provide clear updates to the Executive Director.

    + Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to inform decision-making.

    + Support post-campaign reviews to identify improvements and best practices.

     

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

     

    + Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product Planning, and Operations teams to deliver cohesive campaigns.

    + Liaise with Canadian transactional team to ensure smooth communication and operational alignment.

    + Assist with project initiatives and special account-related tasks as assigned.

     

    Team Support & Leadership

     

    + Support cross-functional teams in prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely delivery.

    + Contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    + Assist the Executive Director in implementing strategic account initiatives and operational plans.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree valued, not mandatory

    + 3–5 years of experience in digital distribution, home entertainment, media, or a related field.

    + Experience managing multiple accounts or projects, with exposure to client or retail partner interactions.

    + Familiarity with digital transactional distribution (EST/VOD) preferred.

    + Understanding of account management and retail operations.

    + Awareness of marketing and promotional strategies.

    + Familiarity with digital media trends and consumer behavior.

    + Strong organizational and project management abilities.

    + Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.

    + Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to track performance and generate insights.

    + Collaborative, able to work across multiple internal teams and stakeholders, including Canada.

    + Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

    + Self-motivated, results-focused, and able to manage competing priorities.
