Job Description:

The Assistant Provost for Educational Technology Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the university’s educational technology services, with primary responsibility for managing the institution’s Learning Management System ( LMS ), Testing Center, Media and Video Services, and Instructional Technology Support. This position plays a crucial role in supporting faculty, staff, and students by providing innovative technology solutions that enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.

The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with technical expertise and a deep understanding of academic environments. This role serves as a key liaison between academic units, IT, and faculty development teams to ensure the effective integration and continuous improvement of educational technologies across the institution.

Skills Required:

The Assistant Provost must successfully demonstrate the following:

+ Proficiency with Learning Management Systems such as Canvas or Blackboard

+ Familiarity with educational testing platforms and secure test administration tools

+ Understanding of system integrations between LMS and other campus technologies

+ Working knowledge of accessibility standards, including ADA compliance and Universal Design for Learning ( UDL )

+ Strategic planning and implementation of academic technology initiatives

+ Staff supervision and team development

+ Policy development and enforcement, particularly related to academic integrity, accessibility, and compliance.

+ Budget planning and resource allocation

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Strong collaboration skills

+ Adaptability and innovation
