JOB SUMMARY
This role will provide support for review and approval of finance / freight payment tasks, assist with shipping and logistics activities, and support carrier and warehouse coordination. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Review, audit and approve domestic parcel, less than truckload (LTL) and truckload invoices.
+ Compare transportation carrier invoices against Company order information, carrier contracts and shipment documents and clearly record any issues.
+ Oversee the scheduling and tracking of inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. Coordinate carrier pickup times and provide daily shipment plans to distribution center.
+ Primary customer service contact for issues related to freight. Liaise with both freight carriers and customers to resolve any logistical issue.
+ Prepare detailed reports on logistics performance, costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
+ Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities that improve financial performance and service levels, enhancing value proposition for internal and external customers.
+ Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant rules, regulations, and laws.
+ Ensure effective coordination (including maximizing service and cost performance) of inbound and outbound freight movements, including shuttle service activities for all customer orders and manufactured inventory between the carrier and consignment locations.
+ Work with Compliance and Customer service teams to review and research chargebacks. Responsible for filing and tracking freight claims. Collect and analyze required documentation (bills of lading, delivery receipts, inspection reports, photos, invoices, etc.) to support timely claim resolution.
+ All other duties as assigned.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
+ Minimum of 3 years relevant experience is required; a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
+ Self-Starter with the ability to develop strategic initiatives and drive results.
+ Must be a pro-active communicator to all levels of management.
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skillset that is effective at all levels of the organization.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and relationships in a global organization.
+ Effectively leverages functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives.
+ Effectively drives and manages change, challenges the status quo and identifies new and innovative ideas. Analytical mindset with strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills are required
