    **Position Description:** **Charge Nurse -** Neonatal/Pediatric Critical Care Transport

    + The RN - Charge Nurse is proficient in the care of a patient population utilizing effective managerial skills. Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team

    + Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team. Is responsible for developing self and team members and sharing organizational information

    + The Charge Nurse performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse

    Requirements:

    + 2 Years RN acute care experience

    + RN experience in PICU or Pedi ER

    + At least 2000 hours of NICU level 2 or level 3 experience

    + Registered Nurse license

    + BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP

    + Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or BS Healthcare related field or an RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification

    + Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid

    Preferred:

    + 1 year Leadership experience

    Status:** **Full Time, Exempt: No

     

    Shift Hours:** **6:00AM - 6:30PM/varies

     

    Shift:** **Shift 1

     

    Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

     

    Weekend Work:** **Every Other

    On Call:** **No
