Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)** has an exciting opportunity for a **Quality Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior)** to join the team located in **Huntington Beach, CA.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in one of the following relevant fields of study:

+ Engineering

+ Computer Science

+ Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology)

+ Mathematics

+ Physics

+ Chemistry

Position Responsibilities:

Level 3

+ Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.

+ Provides Quality interpretation of requirements.

+ Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

+ Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.

+ Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

+ Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

+ Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.

+ Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.

+ Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

+ Works under general direction.

Level 4

+ Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.

+ Provides interpretation of complex requirements.

+ Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

+ Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities. Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

+ Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

+ Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.

+ Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

+ Develops and implements corrective actions.

+ Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

+ Works under minimal direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.** **An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

+ Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field

+ 1+ years of experience with test requirements and automated test systems

+ 1+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g. Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

+ 3+ years of experience in defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes

+ 3+ years of experience in data analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)

+ 3+ years of experience in quality inspection and/or auditing

+ 3+ years of experience with drawing, reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

+ 3+ years of Quality Inspection experience, including FAI (First Article Inspection)

+ Experience interfacing with customers as well as senior leadership

Travel:

This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: Level 3 (Associate)USD: $102,000- $138,000

Level 4 (Senior) USD: $125,800 - $170,200
