    Our client, an organization dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive community environment, is seeking a Community Safety Specialist to join their team. As a Community Safety Specialist, you will be part of the campus safety and student support team, contributing to a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all community members. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attentiveness, professionalism, and a proactive approach to safety and community engagement, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Community Safety Specialist

    **Location:** Ann Arbor, MI

    **Pay Range:** $20-$22

    **Shift:** 4:30pm - 12:00am (Part-Time)

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Conduct regular safety and security rounds during evening hours to ensure the safety of all visitors and staff.

    + Serve as the first point of contact for after-hours concerns related to climate, behavior, or safety issues.

    + De-escalate minor incidents or interpersonal conflicts with professionalism and care, following established protocols.

    + Support front desk operations by greeting visitors, answering phones, and providing general assistance to students.

    + Monitor access to the facility and report maintenance or safety issues as needed.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Ability to perform safety and security rounds reliably during evening hours.

    + Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and visitors.

    + Proactive attitude towards safety, security, and community well-being.

    + Ability to handle minor incidents with professionalism and discretion.

    + Willingness to collaborate with campus safety partners and support a positive environment.
