This APP will practice in a busy HIV clinic, working closely with other APPs, residents, fellows, faculty attendings in the Division of Infectious Disease, pharmacists, RN coordinators and clinic support staff. Exceptional communication skills, the ability to work well as part of large, diverse specialty team, an interest in infectious disease and HIV, independence, and intellectual/academic curiosity will be foundational to success in this role.

UVA’s Ryan White HIV Program is located in UVA’s infectious disease clinic. While the primary focus of this work will be HIV-oriented, there will also be considerable overlap with primary care activities given the primacy of HIV to this population’s overall healthcare. Support for the role is provided by medical and non-medical case managers, program medical leadership, and dedicated pharmacy support.
Professional support is provided by UVA Health’s Center for Advanced Practice, a professional and leadership structure focused on our advanced practice clinicians.
