Provides pharmacy services and medication management in specialty areas including pharmacy automation, including the demonstration of advanced technical skills and ownership for the work area. This role works in the build, implementation, and maintenance of automation and technology to optimize pharmacy practice, pharmacy systems, and the medication-use process,
+ Maintains and provides support of pharmacy information and medication automation systems and all pharmacy applications systems to ensure safe and appropriate use of medications and pharmacy operations.
+ Demonstrates clinical workflow analysis and solves problems and recommends solutions for pharmacy informatics applications and the medication use processes.
+ Identifies and engages in organizational quality improvement activities to improve patient care, medication use processes, and pharmacy operations.
+ Participates in development, monitoring, and evaluation of decision support for continuous improvement, particularly for medications.
+ In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D required
Experience: No experience required
Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
Position Compensation Range: $55.67 - $89.07 Hourly
