    Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and engineering sector, is seeking a dedicated Engineer, Supplier Development Quality to join their dynamic team. As an Engineer, Supplier Development Quality, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department supporting supplier evaluation, development, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Engineer, Supplier Development Quality

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Assess potential new suppliers for technical, quality, and manufacturing capabilities.

    + Drive improvement and corrective actions in the quality of components sourced from outside suppliers.

    + Develop acceptance criteria for materials and monitor supplier performance to ensure quality standards.

    + Generate and maintain incoming inspection procedures, and train inspectors accordingly.

    + Support the introduction of components from new suppliers and assist in generating component specifications.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Must have an engineering degree – preferably Mechanical, but any engineering discipline will suffice.

    + 3-6 years of relevant work experience, including at least one year as a supplier quality engineer.

    + Experience in generating test protocols, monitoring testing, and issuing qualification reports.

    + Strong understanding of quality systems, supplier evaluation, and corrective action processes.

    + Ability to analyze incoming material defects and communicate issues effectively with suppliers.
