At Parker Aerospace, we develop technologies and innovative solutions that enable reliable, efficient and increasingly sustainable flight for the lifecycle of the aircraft, including aftermarket support. Our passionate people with deep engineering expertise, together with our breadth of differentiated technologies, ensure that we make the extraordinary happen and continue to shape the future of aviation in partnership with our customers.

As a member of our team, you are instrumental in fulfilling our mission: 'Enabling Engineering Breakthroughs that Lead to a Better Tomorrow.' Pursuing a career at Parker presents unlimited opportunities for both professional and personal development. Working with some of the most brilliant minds in the industry, your contributions will be pivotal in developing innovative technologies and products, significantly contributing to Parker’s goal of addressing the world’s most pressing engineering challenges. At Parker, our team members belong, matter and make a difference.

The vision of Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division is to be the global leader in the design, development, manufacture, and service of engine fuel, lubrication, and thermal management systems and components for aerospace/defense and industrial applications. By leveraging our expertise in analysis, atomization, combustion, fluid metering, and control — coupled with enterprise excellence — we will exceed customer expectations and achieve our business objectives.

We design and manufacture pumps for aerospace applications. Lube and scavenge pumps are used on a variety of aircraft jet engines.

Do you want to conduct testing of pumps and components to quantify key performance characteristics? Do you want experience with hydraulic fluid systems, instrumentation, data acquisition, and computer controls? Do you want to be a part of the R&D, design, analysis (FEA, CFD, performance, etc.) and qualification testing of pumps for our customers? In addition to these, we also take on special projects as they arise, such as fielded product retrofit and improvement, redesign for improved manufacturability and cost avoidance/reduction, testing and modification, and more.

At Parker-Devens, you are treated as a key member of the engineering team working alongside other engineers. You share responsibility for completing projects and tasks, and you are trained to perform all aspects of the projects up to the limit of your capabilities and interests. The position involves a roughly equal split between office (design, drawing, FEA, etc) and lab (testing) work.

+ Design, analyze (FEA, CFD), model, and test pumps for R&D and customer applications

+ Develop models and drawings (SolidWorks) for test fixtures and test pumps

+ Set up, operate, and maintain test stands:

    + Pump and plumbing assembly

+ Test stand, support equipment, and fixture builds

+ Write procedures, conduct tests, collect and analyze the data, and write test reports

+ Tear down high time and “returned for cause” pumps to inspect / study and write report.

+ Self-motivation and a quick learner who likes to be challenged.

+ A history of mechanical interest or experience outside of course work.

(examples: built or repaired something, worked on a car, machine shop, woodworking, plumbing, welding)

+ Hands on ability with tools and measuring devices (wrenches, micrometers, etc.)

+ Knowledge of machine shop equipment and capabilities a plus

+ Previous coop or internship a plus

This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.

    Competitive Compensation

    + Pay Range: $23/hr to $30/hr

    + No benefit plan eligibility
