Job Summary: Provides leadership, manages, and coordinates activities of assigned nursing departments. Provides direct patient care to patients in INU and CVSS. Responsible for the coordination of patient care and departmental activities consistent with the corporate, division, and departmental mission statement and values. Works collaboratively with members of the Cardiac and Procedural Nursing leadership team.

Qualifications: Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license). BSN preferred. Will consider candidates actively enrolled in BSN program. Specialty certification preferred. If not certified upon employment, will obtain applicable and approved certification within 1 year of employment. Two years progressive nursing experience in an acute hospital with outstanding leadership skills documented. Thorough knowledge of specialty nursing principles, methods, and techniques. Able to deal tactfully and collaborate with staff, patients, physicians, ancillary professional, and families. Considerable ability to manage, coach, and provide motivated environment. Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
