Description
Kuiper's HR team is looking for a talented and strategic thinking Senior HR Program Manager who can lead key initiatives to help accelerate and de-risk Kuiper’s business trajectory. A few of these needs include organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, culture building, and global site expansions. This role will be instrumental in building and operationalizing large scale HR infrastructure and programs that will both enable Kuiper’s business roadmap, while also expanding Amazon’s PXT infrastructure to become an employer of choice in the Aerospace industry.
Kuiper is a rapidly growing and evolving business, and this person must be highly effective operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous and complex business environment. This role will help Kuiper HR and Amazon’s broader PXT ecosystem work together to deliver Kuiper PXT’s 3-year strategic roadmap, so they should have proven success in building new programs and services end-to-end, while engaging with and influencing across leadership levels and cross-business teams. This person will also establish and maintain our closed loop program management mechanisms and best practices to ensure we deliver fast, scalable, end-to-end solutions with operational excellence, and the right level of stakeholder-wide ownership, participation, and delivery.
Key job responsibilities
Kuiper PXT Strategic Development:
• Partner with Kuiper PXT and business leadership to identify, design, build and roll out the most critical talent strategies that will enable Kuiper’s business trajectory, while also expanding Amazon’s PXT infrastructure to be competitive in the Aerospace industry.
• Develop and execute culture-building initiatives to enable Kuiper to become a newly established employer of choice in the Aerospace industry, while creating a consistent “One Kuiper” employee experience across our growing global locations.
• Develop strong on-going partnerships with the various stakeholders and organizations across Amazon that contribute to Kuiper’s PXT roadmap, including Kuiper’s leadership teams, Kuiper PXT, and centralized Amazon teams related to talent management, employee/labor relations, legal, finance, global expansions, etc.
Program/Project Management:
• Develop and own Kuiper PXT’s program management charter in partnership with the HR leadership team, establishing consistent practices for project management, stakeholder engagement, roles and responsibilities, and on-going mechanisms as a mini-PMO.
• Lead the full lifecycle of Kuiper PXT’s initiatives end to end, including defining the problem we’re solving, establishing success goals and criteria, building and managing our workback plan, and owning/management of our program’s closed loop mechanisms.
• Leverage Amazon’s tools and resources to automate and optimize how we manage our programs to ensure we are ruthlessly prioritizing and maximizing Kuiper PXT and leadership effort, including project management tools to automate project management and reporting, Amazon’s analytics tools to infuse standardize our data management, and Amazon’s AI tools to streamline how we analyze large data sets, and draft documents and communications.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision, or 4+ years of Amazon experience
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- Experience working in fast paced environments, and managing workload even during times of stress, or escalated activity

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
