    As Senior Strategy Manager, Brand Partnerships, you'll drive strategic business operations and financial planning for our brand partnerships initiatives. You'll work closely with Amazon's Finance and Brand Partnerships teams to optimize business performance, develop comprehensive reporting frameworks, and ensure strategic alignment across all partnership activities. A successful Senior Strategy Manager will be the cornerstone that connects our business operations, financial planning, and strategic initiatives while supporting the growth of our brand partnerships portfolio.

     

    This role needs someone who understands both the analytical and operational aspects of business strategy. A Senior Strategy Manager will serve as the key strategic partner across Amazon, managing critical business reviews (WBR, CPR, QBR), developing operating plans, and creating business cases for new sponsorship products. Most importantly, they'll help shape how we evaluate, track, and optimize our brand partnerships business performance.

     

    This role requires deep financial acumen and strategic thinking, including the ability to develop and analyze complex business cases while partnering with Finance teams, business pods, and cross-functional stakeholders. The role demands excellence in both strategic planning and operational execution. A successful Senior Strategy Manager will be highly analytical, an exceptional project manager, skilled at building scalable processes, and someone who can translate data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities in driving strategic initiatives while maintaining strong relationships across multiple business units.

     

    Key qualifications should include extensive experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, and business operations, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and stakeholder relationships. The ability to navigate ambiguity, drive consensus, and communicate effectively with senior leadership is essential.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Lead and coordinate business review processes including WBR, CPR, QBR, and Operating Plan (OP1/OP2) inputs for brand partnerships

    • Develop and analyze comprehensive business cases for new sponsorship products

    • Track, manage, and optimize budget allocation across the brand partnerships team while maintaining financial accountability

    • Serve as the primary strategic liaison between Brand Partnerships and Finance teams, particularly on PVA and Ads initiatives

    • Create and implement standardized reporting frameworks and analytics to drive data-informed decision making

    • Partner with Finance leads to develop revenue planning, forecasting, and performance tracking mechanisms

    • Provide strategic guidance and resources to all business pods, serving as a central point of expertise

    • Drive operational excellence through process improvement initiatives and best practice implementation

    • Present strategic recommendations and insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders

    • Facilitate cross-functional alignment and communication across multiple business units

    • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation

    Basic Qualifications

    - 6+ years of Content Strategy, Programming Strategy, and/or Marketing Strategy experience

     

    - Experience in verbal and written communication for executive level leaders

     

    - Experience leading large-scale programs/projects

     

    - Experience in modeling (Excel) and data analyses

     

    - Experience using complex modeling and analysis to inform key business decisions

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience in management consulting, audience development or strategy/business development at a major media or technology company

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
