As a **Security Professional - Retail Mall Patrol Driver** in **San Jose, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a dynamic retail and mall location. Your visible presence will support a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and tenants, while you provide outstanding customer service and responsive communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as you monitor various areas within the property. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by performing security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations at the retail or mall location in a calm and problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and promote a secure environment.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as directed by post orders.

+ Interact professionally with tenants, employees, and visitors, offering assistance and information as needed while maintaining a visible presence.

+ Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols and procedures during daily activities and/or emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ A Guard Card or license is preferred.

+ The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
