Original series premiere exclusively on Prime Video, which is available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Amazon MGM Studios also produces and acquires Original movies for theatrical release and exclusively for Prime Video.
Amazon MGM Studio's Key Art Production Studio is looking for a Creative Key Art Finisher to be a part of our in-house finishing team. This role is vital to the success of our Key Art Production Studio as they will be responsible for performing finishing of our final key art assets that will be used in all deliverables for a campaign. This role takes ideas from comp stage through to high res assets that are ready to be handed off to our production teams for adaptations to our printed and digital out of home (OOH) along with assets that are featured on Amazon's home page and in the Prime Video app.
Key job responsibilities
- Work hands on in Photoshop to reconstruct creative comps to final high resolution files for adaptation by other teams
- Plan and execute the file structure and layer order within Photoshop to ensure modularity of the final files
- At a very high skill level, paint hair masks, re-light talent to fit the environment that they are in, color correct and beauty retouch
- Coordinate closely with the Program Manager to provide timing estimates to ensure on time delivery of files
- Work with the Group Lead Finisher to align on the requirements for each project
- Adhere to the best practice guidelines and SOP that are determined by the team
- Make creative decisions regarding tone, color, composition and mood ensuring the final image aligns with the creative’s vision
- Use advanced Photoshop / image editing techniques including processing RAW images using Adobe Suite as well as other 3rd party applications, masking with paths and brushes
- Utilize a deep understanding of dynamic range, color theory, color profiles (sRGB, Adobe RGB, Gracol, SWOP, Lab, etc.), perspective, light and shadow interaction, technical specs including file size, resolution and ratios
- Process RAW files using Adobe Suite software as well as 3rd party apps. This includes understanding the inner workings of the programs and their internal adjustment properties
A day in the life
- This role requires a deep specialization in Key Art Finishing and is not a Designer or Art/Creative Director role.
- This role will be in-person in our production studio in Culver City, California.
- This role is a hands on role working in Photoshop almost exclusively building high resolution files that are built in a very clean, organized manner to ensure efficiencies for other teams that will have to work with these files.
- They will output high resolution color calibrated proofs from our Epson printer and review under our 30’ calibrated light wall with our creative team. They will take direction from the creative team, offering suggestions to enhance the art with the knowledge of what is achievable in the tools available.
- Must demonstrate effective communication in our project management / time tracking tools along with collaboration with our Key Art Producer team and Creative team to meet tight deadlines while ensuring the highest quality finishing and file organization.
About the team
Our Key Art Production team is a fast paced and growing team within Amazon MGM Studios Marketing. We are responsible for end to end production of static assets. Our In-House Key Art Production Studio is a vital part of our success providing the ability to quickly turn around Finishing and Production requests from our stakeholders. This position will be a vital role on the team to ensure the quality of the finish and techniques being used meet or exceed our very high quality bar.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of creative services experience
- 3+ years of entertainment, brand or production entity experience
- Experience and understanding of the workflow within a marketing, production, or creative department or company
- Experience working at or with a creative or advertising agency, network, streaming service or studio
- Experience working with stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on or with large-scale, global creative campaigns
- Experience with asset management, design workflows, or partnering with creative teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
