    Job Title:** **Medical Assistant – Pediatrics

    **Location:** 575 Underhill Blvd, Suite 310, 1st Floor, Syosset, NY

    **Schedule:** Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM (40 hours per week)

    **Dress Code:** Dark blue scrubs

    Position Summary

    The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily clinical operations of the pediatric practice. This individual will assist providers in delivering high-quality patient care by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and a clean, organized work environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Clinical Duties:

    + Obtain and record patient vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and head circumference for infants.

    + Perform in-house laboratory testing, including PCR, rapid tests, urinalysis (UA), blood glucose, and finger sticks.

    + Conduct EKGs and assist with other diagnostic procedures as directed.

    + Phlebotomy experience is a plus (but not required).

    + Process and prepare specimens for send-out to reference laboratories, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.

    + Enter lab results and other clinical data accurately into the EPIC EMR system.

    + Room patients, obtain clinical histories, and prepare exam rooms for provider visits.

    + Maintain patient flow by coordinating with providers and support staff.

    + Support provider requests during exams and procedures.

    Operational and Administrative Duties:

    + Clean, sanitize, and restock exam rooms and lab areas after each patient.

    + Monitor and replenish medical and lab supplies; assist in organizing and putting away supply deliveries.

    + Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards (HIPAA compliance).

    + Provide compassionate, family-centered care while maintaining a professional and positive attitude with patients and staff.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    + **Medical Assistant Certification** (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)

    + **1–2 years of experience** as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting

    + **Experience with EMR systems** (EPIC experience strongly preferred)

    + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

    Preferred:

    + Experience in **Pediatrics**

    + Familiarity with in-office laboratory procedures and point-of-care testing

    **Pay Details:** $24.34 per hour
