Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a contract part-time Surgical Lab Specialist for our Medical Device partner in Valencia, CA.
The anticipated hourly wage for this position is between $36 and $37.29. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Title: Surgical Lab Specialist (Part-Time, 25 hours p/week) Days & hours flexible and based upon Business needs.
Job Summary
The Surgical Lab Specialist supports the day-to-day operations of the Neuromodulation Surgical Lab, ensuring it functions safely and efficiently for training, education, and product demonstration purposes.
This role focuses on hands-on lab setup, teardown, equipment handling, and process support, enabling high-quality experiences for sales representatives, physicians, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate will have surgical or operating room experience and a strong understanding of sterile technique, instrumentation, and clinical environments. This is a part-time, technical support role that partners closely with the Sales Training, Professional Education, and R&D teams.
Working Conditions
Ability to work hands-on in a surgical lab environment, including handling anatomical specimens.
May require occasional evening or weekend work to support events or training sessions.
Physical ability to lift and transport lab equipment and supplies
Compliance with all company safety and regulatory policies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Surgical Lab Setup and Support
Prepare the lab for training sessions, physician programs, or R&D demonstrations - including equipment setup, instrumentation, and materials staging.
Assist in the teardown and cleanup of the lab following each session, ensuring all materials are properly sterilized, stored, and disposed of according to company standards.
Support cadaveric or procedural simulations, including specimen preparation and station setup.
Provide real-time technical support during lab activities to ensure smooth execution.

2. Lab Operations and Process Support
Maintain inventory and organization of instruments, tools, and consumables.
Track supply levels and communicate reorder needs to ensure readiness for upcoming sessions.
Assist in managing lab schedules, room setup, and material logistics for concurrent programs.
Support basic record-keeping, including lab usage logs, material checklists, and attendance rosters.

3. Equipment Maintenance
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration checks on lab equipment.
Assist with vendor coordination for repairs or service as needed.
Maintain equipment logs to ensure operational readiness and compliance with quality standards.

4. Compliance and Safety
Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements related to lab operations and specimen handling.
Support proper disposal of biological materials and sharps according to policy.
Maintain compliance documentation and assist with safety inspections.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work collaboratively with Sales Training, Professional Education, Marketing, and R&D to support internal and external training events.
Provide feedback to training and development teams to improve lab efficiency and experience quality.
Serve as a reliable technical partner to internal teams during lab-based programs.
Qualifications
Associates degree or Certificate from an accredited Surgical Technology or related program preferred.
Experience:
2-4 years of relevant experience as a Surgical Technologist, Lab Technician, or in an Operating Room or cadaveric lab environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with surgical instruments, equipment handling, and lab processes.
Understanding of aseptic technique and procedural workflows.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask across concurrent sessions.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cadaveric labs and anatomical specimen preparation.
Familiarity with neuromodulation or spine-related medical devices.
Experience with basic inventory management systems or lab tracking tools.
**Pay Details:** $36.00 to $37.29 per hour
