    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our full-service architectural and engineering firm. We provide comprehensive design services across various sectors, including education, healthcare, commercial, data centers, research and development, sports, recreation and athletics, and industrial. Our work primarily serves southeastern Michigan, fostering a culture of inclusion and integration where employees are highly valued.

    Responsibilities

    + Act as project mechanical engineer for the design, development, and documentation of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and temperature controls systems on small to medium-sized projects.

    + Assist the lead project mechanical engineer in the design, development, and documentation of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and temperature controls systems on large and complex projects.

    + Perform energy and economic analysis for proposed building systems.

    + Research and document required code reviews for assigned projects.

    + Conduct product research as needed for project development.

    + Attend project team coordination meetings and owner review meetings.

    + Develop materials for client presentations and review meetings.

    + Present mechanical system concepts/designs to clients and/or design review committees.

    + Develop and edit project specifications.

    + Review product shop drawings/submittals.

    + Review and respond to requests for information (RFIs).

    + Visit project construction sites to review progress and answer contractor inquiries.

    + Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.

    + Participate in ongoing continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and service.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

    + Experience in mechanical engineering, mechanical design, and project management.

    + Knowledge of HVAC systems, building codes, and CAD concepts.

    + Experience working in sectors such as K-12, healthcare, and architecture.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

    + 10-15+ years of relevant experience.

    + Significant knowledge and experience in structural design for commercial construction.

    + LEED accreditation is a plus.

    + BIM experience is a plus.

    + Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $67.00/hr.
