    The expected base salary range for this position is $64,350 to $100,00. This salary range may vary based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, education, and geographic location.

     

    **JOB SUMMARY:** The Senior Financial Backlog Analyst is responsible for end-to-end consolidation and reporting of the company’s financial backlog (contracted revenue yet to be recognized). This hands-on role combines data from multiple sources provided by various team into a single auditable model, translating bookings to revenue conversion, and delivering executive dashboards. The analyst ensures adherence to standardized reporting templates, reconciles the consolidated backlog with the ERP system for accuracy, and partners with Sales, Contracting, Accounting, and Operations to reconcile discrepancies. This role focuses on analysis and reporting of the backlog data, excluding forecasting future revenue. The analyst will leverage PowerBI reporting to provide data insights that help guide business decisions.

    **ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The accountabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

    + Consolidate and reconcile backlog data, including bookings and revenue, across multiple entities. Ensure accuracy and consistency in one unified report

    + Build and maintain detailed financial models in Excel to track backlog and revenue conversion. Implement proper version control for multiple workbook models and combine into a single auditable deliverable for management review

    + Produce monthly and quarterly backlog roll-forward analyses. Perform variance analysis on changes and work with FP&A leads to document commentary explaining the drivers behind the changes

    + Design, build, and maintain an Excel-based dashboard that visualizes key backlog metrics such as conversion rates, backlog aging, etc. Work with FP&A team to ingest into PowerBI and build dynamic dashboards

    + Drive automation and standardization of the backlog consolidation process. Streamline data aggregation and enforce the use of standard templates to increase efficiency and reduce errors

    + Collaborate with RevOps and FP&A leads to investigate and resolve backlog discrepancies and reconcile to ERP

    + Organize and analyze large amounts of financial data from numerous data sources to deliver reporting and presentations

    + May indirectly support or lead others through project assignments.

    + Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSE/REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

    + None

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

    + Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or revenue operations, with direct responsibility for backlog, bookings, or revenue conversion reporting

    + Experience in a company with project-based professional service revenue contracts

    + Experience coordinating the compilation, analysis, and reporting of a large multi-subsidiary company

    + Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel

    + PowerBI reporting experience, preferred

    + Experience in financial analysis, internal reporting, and KPI & dashboard reporting

    + Experience working in a high pressure, deadline-oriented and dynamic environment

    + Experience managing projects to completion while actively working on projects

    + Must have strong interpersonal communication skills

    + Experience working effectively with and communicating financial data to senior leadership

    + Demonstrated ability to follow established policies

    + Must be able to influence decisions through data-driven analysis and cogent presentation.

    + Must be able to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment and adapt to change.

    + Must be comfortable presenting financial information to groups.
