    Quality Assurance Technician

     

    Reports to: QA Manager

     

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, Second Shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring product quality, food safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform product evaluations, risk assessments, and QA checks for shipping and receiving.

    + Calibrate equipment and conduct pH, Brix, and color assessments.

    + Review and adjust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.

    + Conduct internal audits and assist in preparing for FDA audits.

    + Support compliance with HACCP, CCPs, GMPs, SQF certifications, and food safety standards.

    + Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to quality control processes.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.

    Required Knowledge & Skills

    + Technical Expertise: HACCP, CCPs, GMPs, SQF certifications, food safety principles.

    + Laboratory Skills: pH, Brix, and color testing; general lab experience.

    + Strong understanding of quality control and documentation practices.

    + Ability to communicate effectively and work well in teams.

    + Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience in food safety and quality assurance within a manufacturing or production setting.

    + Familiarity with FDA audit preparation.

    Personality & Work Style

    + Approachable and capable of coaching others on proper SOP standards.

    + Self-starter with a desire to learn and grow within the company.

    + Strong presence on the production floor; proactive and engaged.

    + Personality and attitude are valued as highly as experience.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OXNARD, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
