Job Title: PharmacistJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacist to join our team. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions, compounding medications, and providing guidance to healthcare professionals on medication therapy. The position is a 6-month contract with the potential to become a permanent role.

Responsibilities

+ Review prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine the necessary formulas and ingredients.

+ Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes, including weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.

+ Direct pharmacy employees involved in mixing, packaging, labeling, and modifying prescription orders.

+ Ensure the accurate intake and efficient fulfillment of prescription orders.

+ Dispense medications and offer support and counsel to nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications.

+ Advise physicians about medication therapy.

Essential Skills

+ Pharmacy license in the State of Florida.

+ Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Proficiency in pharmacy management and prescription refills.

+ Experience in a retail pharmacy environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Retail experience in a high-volume environment is highly preferred.

+ Strong interpersonal skills.

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.

+ Leadership abilities to coordinate multiple associates and provide direction.

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other Windows-based software programs.

+ Ability to stand for the entire work period.

+ Long-term or closed-door pharmacy experience as a Pharmacist is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

This position requires 40-hour work weeks with the potential for overtime. The schedule is from Sunday to Thursday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM (2nd shift). Training will take place on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The role involves working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $61.00 - $63.00/hr.
