We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves applying engineering principles and various analysis tools to develop test plans and procedures, ensuring the feasibility and performance of design parts and components. The position requires working in a hybrid environment, initially onsite while learning, with potential for remote work one day per week upon manager approval.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and execute test plans and procedures to evaluate design feasibility and performance.
+ Create data settings, test specifications, and schedules.
+ Prepare and set up test equipment for conducting moderately complex tests.
+ Document and summarize test results, verifying accuracy and thoroughness.
+ Analyze and interpret test results, predicting performance and failure.
+ Communicate test results through written reports and formal presentations.
+ Propose design changes and recommend countermeasures based on test analysis.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
+ Over 5 years of test engineering experience in a specialized area.
+ Proficiency in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, C, C++, Python, and Mechanical testing.
+ Basic mechanical ability to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components.
+ Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
+ 0-3 years of experience in electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift/carry weights up to 50 lbs.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools.
+ Capability to push/pull equipment and maintain a moderately strong level of physical activity in various positions such as standing, sitting, and walking.
Work Environment
Join a tight-knit team of 12 in a collaborative engineering office. The role involves hands-on work with vehicle transmission microcontrollers. This is a long-term contract position, offering the opportunity for growth and advancement. The work environment includes exposure to engineering offices and vehicles, with no exposure to hazardous materials.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $38.00/hr.
