Job Title: CAD TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a BIM Modeler/CAD Technician specializing in Electrical or Mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Electrical Designer with a passion for Building Information Modeling (BIM) and a background in MEP systems. You will be a vital part of a highly creative and efficient MEP BIM team, working on challenging and complex projects with innovative solutions for Data Center facilities.

Responsibilities

+ Design electrical systems for Data Centers, utilizing Revit to create and maintain BIM models.

+ Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, interacting with internal groups, external suppliers, consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.

+ Prepare and develop detailed Revit models of Electrical building systems.

+ Develop and publish construction documentation for Electrical building systems designs in a fast-paced environment to meet scheduled deliverables.

+ Update and modify existing models, studies, and construction documents as required.

+ Participate in design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution.

+ Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.

+ Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers.

Essential Skills

+ 2 years of design/engineering experience with Electrical Building systems or Mechanical Plumbing on mission-critical facilities.

+ 2 years of experience using Revit for producing complex BIM models and construction drawings for Electrical or Mechanical building systems.

+ Practical knowledge and understanding of codes and safety regulations related to the MEP industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience directly related to Data Center design and construction.

+ Experience with developing Revit Family content.

+ Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Dynamo, RF Tools, CTC Tools, and Procore.

+ Understanding of building systems and large-scale project design.

Work Environment

This position is remote within Seattle, with a preference for periodic onsite meetings. However, it is open to fully remote work for the right candidate. You will be part of a dynamic and energetic DS BIM design team, working to deliver data center designs. A willingness to learn processes used within the DS BIM group is highly valued.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
