    Quality Assurance Inspector – Acute Care Technology

    Position Summary

    The Quality Assurance Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that all medical device products meet stringent quality standards. This position involves performing in-process and final inspections, supporting quality metrics reporting, and training team members in inspection processes.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform in-process and final inspections of medical devices for compliance with specifications, procedures, and engineering drawings.

    + Conduct visual inspections and functional testing of components and assemblies.

    + Verify calibration status of critical equipment and instrumentation.

    + Initiate and manage Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) for nonconforming materials.

    + Review Device History Records (DHR) prior to product release.

    + Assist in evaluating customer complaints, retained samples, and returned products.

    + Maintain accurate quality testing records as part of DHR documentation.

    + Train other employees in inspection processes and quality standards.

    + Prepare and review monthly quality metrics.

    + Conduct audits and facility walk-throughs to ensure compliance with SOPs and GMP principles.

    + Support continuous improvement initiatives and waste reduction efforts.

    Qualifications

    + Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    + Experience: 5–6 years in a related quality assurance or inspection role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Skills & Abilities:

    + Proficient in English (read, write, speak).

    + Skilled in using rulers, calipers, and mechanical/electrical measurement tools.

    + Basic computer proficiency (MS Office Suite).

    + Ability to read specifications, procedures, and engineering drawings.

    + Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills.

    + Knowledge of GMP and ISO standards.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Palm Springs, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
