The Idaho Transportation Department is hiring aTemporary Administrative Assistant 2to join our administrative teamlocated in our Headquarters in Boise, ID. We are seeking a detail-oriented candidate to support our team with data collection, reporting, and office coordination. This role focuses on organizing operational data, creating Excel-based reports and dashboards, and providing accurate administrative support to management. Ideal candidates are analytical, highly organized, and skilled in Excel and data visualization.
This temporary position is limited tofive (5) months or lessin duration,or fewer than twenty (20) hours per week.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
+ Collect, organize, and maintain operational data from multiple systems and sources
+ Develop and maintain Excel-based reports, charts, and dashboards to communicate key metrics and performance trends
+ Use advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, lookups, conditional formatting) to analyze and summarize data
+ Support management with accurate and timely data visualizations for decision-making
+ Prepare and proofread documents, reports, and correspondence
+ Assist with tracking budgets, invoices, inventory, and records
+ Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and provide general office support as needed
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Proficiency inMicrosoft Excel- ability to build and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and data visualizations
+ Experience using data from multiple systems or databases for reporting
+ Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity
+ Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook)
+ Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
+ Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus administrative or data reporting experience.
