    What you'll do

     

    The Revenue Cycle Manager - RI reports to the Director, Revenue Cycle and serves as a member of the Bassett Healthcare Network management operations team and is responsible for enhancing and maintaining a properly functioning corporate revenue cycle operation across the Bassett Healthcare Network. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with managers and leadership primarily in the Medical Group operations to optimize reimbursement. The Revenue Cycle Manager - RI is responsible for identifying opportunities for revenue cycle improvement, will help facilitate best practice models, including charge capture, coding utilization and denial avoidance.

     

    + Responsible for supporting the daily operations of all assigned revenue cycle functions, includingbut not limited to billing and reimbursement, follow-up and collections, denial management, andcoding.

    + Targets revenue recovery throughout the organization by identifying charge capture, coding, andreimbursement problems, then recommending/implementing solutions to achieve AO performancegoals.

    + Leads initiatives to identify and recover underpayments, leveraging data analysis and industryknowledge.

    + Performs root cause analysis on reimbursement discrepancies to uncover and address recurringpayment variances.

    + Analyzes and identifies reimbursement opportunities in billing/coding trends and denials. Makesrecommends and implements methods for revenue optimization.

    + Review provider and hospital charge patterns to identify utilization trends and variances.

    + Reviews and compares third-party contracts with electronic health records to ensure dataaccuracy, compliance with contractual terms, and seamless system integration.

    + Demonstrates expertise in third-party payer contracts, fee schedules, and reimbursementprotocols across commercial insurers, state programs, and federal healthcare initiatives.

    + Performs clinical hospital reimbursement assessments to ensure revenue capture. Makerecommendations to provider, leadership partners, and staff.

    + Demonstrates skills and proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting complex reimbursementproblems.

    + Establish and maintain departmental policies and procedures. Communicate relevant informationto other departments. Establish controls and review mechanisms to ensure procedures are beingfollowed correctly.

    + Ensures compliance with relevant federal, state, and payor-specific billing requirements.

    + Regularly provides upper management with revenue cycle status including reports, metrics, andpresentation.

    + At all times, will comply with authorizations and limits established and approved by the President& CEO and Chief Financial Officer, and in certain areas, ratified and approved by the relevantBoard such as signatory authority. Through delegated authority from President & CEO and ChiefFinancial Officer, shall enforce administrative, financial regulatory compliance, and humanresources policies.

    + Monitors compliance with policies, procedures, and plans, and institutes corrective action asneeded, to ensure job methods are within acceptable standards for the Network.

     

    What we need from you

    Education:

    + Required - 2 Year Associate Degree - Finance, Accounting, Business or related field. Ten (10) years of healthcare leadership experience may be considered in lieu of education.

    + Preferred - 4 Year Bachelor's Degree - Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.

    Experience:

    + Required - 5 Years Management Experience in healthcare with evidence of progressive leadership responsibility.

    + Required - 5 Years Direct experience in Fianace, revenue cycle and healthcare administration.

    + Preferred - 10 Years Extensive experience and knowledge of physician documentation guidelines, coding education training, and auditing procedures.

    License/Certification:

    + Required - NYS Driver's License

    + Required - Certified Professional Code of EPIC Resolute HB Expected Reimbursement Contracts Administration.

    Physical Requirements:

    Pay Range

     

    Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.

    Pay Range Minimum:

    USD $89,576.05/Yr.

    Pay Range Maximum:

    USD $134,364.07/Yr.
