    Salary Range: $66,699 - $141,734

     

    Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

    Purpose/Objective:

    The Credit Risk Analyst IV combines hands-on ability and thought leadership focused on the development, configuration, and operation of Beacon Bank and Trusts credit risk management monitoring, analysis, and reporting programs. The role requires experience in commercial banking with demonstrated expertise in credit risk management principles, practical knowledge of commercial lending, experience supporting the production of the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL), and proficiency with data, systems, models, and reporting tools.

     

    The Credit Risk Analyst IV must be a solution driven, intellectually curious, self-starter, proficient in accomplishing concurrent and diverse objectives with minimal direction. This individual must possess expert analytical ability while consistently demonstrating a high degree flexibility, teamwork, efficiency, and commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. The analyst must work well in a matrix management organization. The analyst may also be asked to share knowledge and provide guidance to other staff members, and assume a leadership role, for projects.

     

    The work products of this position are highly visible and include production of analytical studies and material of a level and quality suitable for presentation to Executive Management and Board of Directors. This individual is skilled at anticipating and communicating information in the most effective, useful, and appropriate form for the audience.

    Key Accountabilities:

    + Executing production of cyclical credit risk analyses and reports concerning the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL), portfolio credit quality, stress testing, and portfolio monitoring programs on a timely basis. This may also require utilization of economic and market data resources to support analyses and conclusions.

    + Leveraging technology by:

    + Utilizing query and report writing tools, and collaborating with the Standard Reporting and Enterprise Analytics teams, to generate both standardized and customized reports as they relate to portfolio monitoring and the ACL.

    + Configuring, maintaining, testing, and otherwise supporting the ACL Model (in accordance with policies, procedures, and controls), to ensure its ongoing accuracy and integrity.

    + Design, implement and administer programs for ensuring control over changes to credit sensitive data, for instance data fields impacting the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL).

    + Act as primary liaison between Senior Credit Officers, the Lines of Business, and Credit Risk Management in support of all portfolio monitoring programs, for both existing and future states. This may involve travel to alternative Bank locations.

    + Represent Credit Risk Management in collaboration with partner departments within the bank (such as Finance) and with the banks external constituents (such as auditors or service providers/vendors).

    + Other projects or assignments as necessary such as: implementation of new systems; development of additional credit risk management programs; portfolio stress tests; forecasting exercises; or representing Credit Risk Management in initiatives with other departments (Finance, Support Services, Commercial Lending, Compliance) or external constituents (auditors or service providers).

    + Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by ones duties.

    + 7-10 years of applicable experience

    + Commercial Banking experience in a position with applicable relevant skills.

    Skills & Knowledge:

    + Ability to think both conceptually and concretely

    + Advanced user of Microsoft Office Products including: Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas), Word, and PowerPoint

    + Familiarity with FIS loan accounting system and building reports in PowerBI are a plus.

    + Proficiency in Python, R, and/or SQL is a plus

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills

    + Experience with project management and process design

    + Attention to detail and quality are essential

    + Experience with statistical techniques and quantitative analysis desirable

    + Relevant professional certification(s) a plus
