Description We are seeking a skilled Attorney with 2 to 5+ years of experience to join our team on a contract basis in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This position provides the opportunity to work on engaging cases in Worker’s Compensation and Civil Litigation, with guidance from experienced attorneys. Responsibilities: • Work closely with experienced attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to develop case strategies and manage legal workflows. • Prepare for trials by organizing evidence, drafting documents, and creating presentations alongside senior litigation attorneys. • Conduct depositions, mediations, and conferences with claimants and judges, and represent clients during court appearances. • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, findings of fact, and opinions. • Effectively manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. • Provide legal counsel and negotiate settlements in both state and federal court settings. • Research and analyze applicable laws and procedures to ensure accurate and effective case representation. • Collaborate with corporate professionals to address legal concerns and support organizational objectives.

The salary range for this position is $55 to $65. Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Minimum of two to five years of experience practicing law, with a focus on litigation.

• Comprehensive understanding of state and federal laws, along with procedural knowledge.

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills to convey legal arguments effectively.

• Proven ability to manage large caseloads and balance multiple priorities efficiently.

• Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

• Demonstrated analytical skills to assess legal issues and develop strategic solutions.

• Active law license in at least one state, with eligibility to obtain additional state licenses.

• A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
