• Medical Coding Auditor

    Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Coding Auditor to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of coding assignments for interventional radiology and vascular procedures while adhering to current guidelines and regulations. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, this position requires a commitment to excellence in documentation review and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough reviews of clinical documentation for interventional radiology and vascular procedures to ensure accurate coding.

    • Apply ICD-10 and CPT codes in compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations.

    • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify documentation and provide constructive feedback to enhance coding accuracy.

    • Ensure coding is completed promptly and accurately to support optimal reimbursement and smooth claims processing.

    • Participate in internal audits and implement corrective measures to address any identified issues.

    • Stay updated on changes to coding guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

    • Safeguard patient health information by maintaining strict confidentiality and upholding data integrity. Requirements • Proven experience in medical coding, with a focus on interventional radiology and vascular procedures.

    • Certification in medical coding, such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent.

    • Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding standards.

    • Familiarity with outpatient coding processes and payer-specific regulations.

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate code assignment.

    • Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to resolve documentation discrepancies.
