Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Clerk to join our team in New York, New York, within the dynamic hospitality industry. This Contract-to-permanent position involves supporting the Banquet Department by ensuring accurate union payroll processing and handling event-related administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate proficiency in payroll systems and Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Process union payroll efficiently and accurately, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

• Manage administrative tasks related to banquet events, ensuring smooth operations.

• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records and reports.

• Collaborate with team members to address payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

• Monitor and audit payroll data to ensure compliance with company policies and labor agreements.

• Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management review.

• Support benefit functions and ensure proper documentation for payroll-related activities.

• Handle accounts payable tasks and assist in reconciling financial statements.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce.

• Work closely with the Banquet Department to ensure seamless coordination of payroll and administrative processes. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll processing, particularly in union environments.

• Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and functions, including accounts payable and auditing.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Familiarity with benefit functions and payroll-related documentation.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills to work collaboratively within a team.

• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
