    Description

    Position Description: Performs responsible paraprofessional accounting and bookkeeping work. Responsible for activities and operations in the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functional area. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense reports that are eligible for payment. Maintains accurate financial records and control reports. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Work is performed under general supervision. Work is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through conferences, reports submitted, and periodic audits.

    Requirements

    Special Skills or Qualifications: The position requires an associate’s degree in accounting or business, 1 to 2 years general accounting experience; an ability to multi-task and prioritize; proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; an ability to learn and work in the non-profit’s fund accounting system; strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
