    We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to support the sustainment, enhancement, and modernization of legacy and current enterprise systems. This role is essential to maintaining operational continuity while incrementally integrating modern technologies and Agile practices. The ideal candidate will have experience with legacy platforms, sustainment processes, and secure software development in regulated environments.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain and enhance legacy applications by analyzing business logic and translating specifications into updated code.

    + Develop and maintain flowcharts, logic diagrams, and documentation for legacy systems.

    + Support operations and maintenance activities, including patching, performance tuning, and incident response.

    + Assist in modernization efforts, including refactoring legacy code and integrating with newer platforms.

    + Participate in Agile development cycles and collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize sustainment tasks.

    + Provide Tier 2/3 support for deployed dashboards and data services.

    + Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation (typically one week every four weeks).

    + Prepare system-level documentation, operator instructions, and change management artifacts.

    + Support secure coding practices and contribute to DevSecOps initiatives where applicable.

    Qualifications

    + Active Top Secret clearance.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

    + At least five (5) years of general programming experience, including three (3) years supporting legacy systems or enterprise sustainment.

    + At least one of the following certifications: CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH.

    Desired Qualification:

    + Experience with WebFOCUS, Java, or mainframe-based systems.

    + Familiarity with change management, configuration control, and release management.

    + Understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

    + Experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, and data warehouse sustainment.
