    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Controller to oversee the accurate and timely reporting of financial results and assist with both internal and external financial reporting. This role requires preparing weekly, monthly, and annual reports to summarize and forecast business activities and financial positions, ensuring compliance with the reporting requirements set by the PE firm.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee the development and publication of KPIs on a daily and weekly basis and advise the leadership team on necessary course corrections.

    + Lead the completion of the month-end close process accurately and promptly.

    + Lead the development of the annual budget and monthly forecast, ensuring accountability.

    + Maintain the company's banking reporting requirements.

    + Review accounting standards and internal policies to ensure compliance with GAAP.

    + Supervise and coordinate annual external financial audits and enhance compliance with relevant financial regulations.

    + Supervise payroll, accounts payable, fixed asset depreciation, and accounts receivable processes.

    + Analyze internal controls to ensure assets are safeguarded and results are accurately reported; train personnel to ensure compliance.

    + Supervise semi-annual physical inventories and reconcile results.

    + Participate in various special projects and compile special reports as required.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in accounting, inventory management, audit procedures, payroll, and financial reporting.

    + Experience with budgeting, job costing, implementation, and general ledger reconciliation.

    + Strong skills in forecasting, accounts receivable, and KPI development.

    + Expertise in SOP implementation and cost accounting.

    + Experience with accounting software such as ERP systems, QuickBooks, AvSight, and Quantum.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + 5+ years of finance and cost accounting experience in aviation, MRO, OEM, or aerospace manufacturing.

    + Experience with a minimum $40M aviation services organization.

    + Strong job costing experience in repair/maintenance environments.

    + Bachelor's or graduate degrees in finance or accounting.

    + Advanced degree and/or accounting certification (CPA, CMA, CA).

    + Preferred experience with Smart 145, Quantum, and/or AvSight.

    + Exposure to private equity and Big Four accounting experience.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position is onsite in Doral, FL, Monday through Friday.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Doral, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $165000.00/yr.
