Our Company

SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services.

Responsibilities

+ Utilizing Excel to Analyze high-cost medication orders and identify cost-saving opportunities through therapeutic interchange while ensuring patient safety.

+ Track missed automatic therapeutic interchange prescriptions and fix and accept T/I accordingly.

+ Review medication profiles to verify the appropriate drug selection, dosage, interactions, and identify potential errors.

+ Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facility staff.

+ Communicate efficiently with nursing homes via phone, fax, and email regarding therapeutic interchange recommendations and high-cost order clarifications.

+ Apply clinical knowledge of medical history, current therapies, and laboratory data to support decision making.

+ Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Cost Containment Supervisor.

+ Demonstrate initiative and interest in expanding knowledge of various pharmacy practices.

Qualifications

+ Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida

+ Long Term Care experience is a plus

+ Previous experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields

+ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong attention to detail

+ Strong organizational skills

+ Microsoft Excel knowledge skills

+ Framework / ECM software knowledge a plus

Shift:

+ 9:00am - 5:00pm, Mondays - Fridays EST
