    The Senior Production Engineer is part of the production engineering team and is responsible for leading and optimizing finishing and packaging operations from a technical standpoint at the Orange, TX site to ensure high-quality output, efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement and support new product introductions **. You’ll work out of Orange, TX location on a 9/80 work schedule.**

    Position Summary:

    The Senior Production Engineer is responsible for leading and optimizing finishing and packaging operations from a technical standpoint to ensure high-quality output, efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement and support new product introductions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead engineering support for finishing and packaging lines, including troubleshooting, process optimization, and equipment upgrades.

    + Develop and implement process improvements to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

    + Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to scale up new products, finishing processes, and packaging formats.

    + Support capital projects related to finishing / packaging equipment and automation.

    + Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

    + Analyze production data to identify trends and drive corrective actions.

    + Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

    + Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations and customer complaints.

    Responsibilities

    Qualifications

    YOU MUST HAVE

    + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or related field.

    + 10+ years of applicable manufacturing / project experience in a production facility with emphasis on finishing and packaging.

    + Strong knowledge of polymer finishing technology including vibrating conveyors, dewatering operations, pumps and compressors, packaging machinery, materials, and automation systems.

    + Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

    + Proficiency in data analysis and office tools.

    + Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

    WE VALUE

    + Experience in an ISO / PSM managed environment.

    + Background in continuous improvement.

    + Strong understanding of root cause methodology.

    + Familiarity with industrial control and packaging systems.

    + Understanding / troubleshooting background related to mechanical systems.

    + Background in solids handling and transport.

    + Project management experience.

    COMPENSATION

    The annual base salary range for this position is $103k - $129k. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities or the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
