The Elevator Pitch
Evolv is seeking a dynamic Product Manager to lead the ongoing enhancement of Evolv eXpedite™, our concealed weapons detection system for bag screening, which started shipping in January 2026.
As Product Manager, your focus will be to deliver meaningful product improvements which enhance capabilities, increase reliability, and reduce cost. The improvement you make to Evolv eXpedite will ultimately drive customer adoption, subscription renewals, and long-term product value. This is a high-impact leadership role that requires a solid understanding of core engineering domains, including mechanical and electrical engineering, embedded systems, and applied AI. Experience with x-ray imaging or other inspection technologies is required, as credibility with R&D is essential to influencing design trade-offs, improving detection accuracy, and accelerating product reliability improvements. The ideal candidate brings structured thinking, a strong bias for action, and a focus on driving customer value.
Success in the Role: What are performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
Success as our Product Manager, eXpedite will require developing deep credibility with our R&D team. Candidates with prior experience in x-ray imaging, computed tomography, or other inspection technologies will be best positioned to translate technical complexity into actionable product decisions. A working understanding of x-ray physics, image processing, and system calibration will enable this Product Manager to influence design trade-offs, improve detection accuracy, and accelerate product reliability improvements.
Within 3 months, you will:
+ Meet with customers and observe eXpedite in live environments to understand how product performance impacts security operations and customer return on investment
+ Support a go-live installation to gain first-hand insight into deployment success factors and customer pain points
+ Present a brief to leadership outlining initial impression of the market and product improvement opportunities aligned to customer impact
+ Build strong relationships across the sales, customer enablement, support, service, and research & development organizations to understand internal product perspectives
+ Refine the product roadmap to prioritize initiatives focused on customer satisfaction, product reliability, and cost reduction
By 6 months, you will:
+ Deliver at least one roadmap initiative that improves system performance, reliability, or customer experience
+ Lead the successful field testing of a new feature update
+ Launch a new version of eXpedite software and enable internal teams and partners to sell and support the update effectively
+ Educate internal and partner field teams as well as customers on the new features in the launch
+ Be recognized as the go-to product leader for eXpedite—driving cross-functional alignment and delivering against performance metrics like NPS, renewal rate, and time-to-resolution
