    CU Denver recently refreshed its brand identity with authentic, human-centered storytelling that shares how the university can help learners-at any stage of their life or career-meet their moment. As a member of the University Communications department, within the Creative Content team, the Multimedia Producer will help further establish this brand by creating compelling video and multimedia content that connects with our community, resonates with prospective students, contributes to student success, and amplifies the university's strategic goals and public-service mission. The ideal candidate is comfortable telling stories in a variety of mediums-with a focus on video-and who is passionate about sharing authentic voices. They will demonstrate a commitment to equity and to upholding university values.

     

    In this role, the Multimedia Producer will be responsible for creating multimedia content, including marketing materials, long and shortform videos, social media videos, photography, and other products. The ideal candidate will excel at managing multiple deadlines and projects with multiple stakeholders. They will join a team of creative thinkers and doers who thrive on collaboration and telling stories that resonate.

     

    The Multimedia Producer will be an organized individual who can thrive in a deadline-driven environment and has strong project management skills. They should possess excellent videography and editing skills and have a proven ability to share stories in creative, accessible ways.

     

    Multimedia Producer

    What you will do:

    + Produce multimedia content, ranging from video to photography, that supports University Communications projects, marketing campaigns, website updates, and communications plans (for internal and external audiences).

    + Capture video, take photos, and coordinate shoots in collaboration with the Creative Content team to support University Communications projects.

    + Perform interviews, gather information, and develop storyboards.

    + Support preparing materials for digital asset management system.

    + Manage YouTube channel, including uploads and preparing monthly reports.

    + Keep inventory of equipment. Help maintain equipment.

    + Help develop a multimedia calendar that supports other Creative Content production schedules and content calendars. **Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)** Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

    + Bachelor's degree in videography, photography, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.

    + At least two years of experience in producing and editing video content.

    + Proven ability to process and create multimedia content for different audiences, formats, and contexts.

    + Demonstrated understanding of professional video equipment, including 4K video capture, audio/mics, and lighting.

    + At least two years of experience using After Effects and Premiere Pro, including color correction and audio editing.Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. **Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)**

    + Experience in Adobe Creative suite (including Illustrator), Lightroom, Photoshop, social media platforms, and other design and creative programs.

    + Knowledge or experience with motion graphics and animations.

    + Knowledge or experience with using teleprompters for video shoots. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**

    + Excellent videography, photography, and editing skills.

    + Keen understanding of creative content trends and best practices.

    + Experience developing story or creative concepts from the idea stage to launch.

    + Excellent attention to detail.

    + Strong problem-solving abilities.

    + Ability to effectively manage several projects and deadlines, and skilled at handling multiple priorities in a shifting landscape.

    + Self-motivated, proactive, and works well with minimal direction.

    + Customer-service driven.

    + Efficient project management skills.

    + Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional team. **Conditions of Employment**

    + Occasional work during the evening and/or weekends may be required.

    + This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, a minimum of 3 days per week on campus will be required. Working from the office is required when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration. **Mental, Physical, and/or Environmental Requirements**

    + Bending body downward and forward. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.

    + Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Use this factor when special and minute accuracy is demanded.

    + Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Use this factor when visual efficiency in terms of far acuity is required in day and night/dark conditions.

    + Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.
