    Position Summary:

    This process engineering position is responsible for initiating, coordinating and implementing manufacturing process improvement initiatives for the facility. Responsible for integration of Lean Sigma improvement methodologies and activities across the entire operation. The Process Engineer will serve as a generator and coordinator of ideas for process improvement techniques and implementation strategies and will ensure that timely and effective results of the process improvements are accomplished. He/she will coordinate the resources required to plan, train and implement process improvements.

    Position Specific Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include three (3) primary focus areas. 1. Product/process Improvements 2. New Product Development support and 3. Daily support for process troubleshooting and product quality.

     

    • Identify and implement process and product improvements, prioritize initiatives, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve the business goal of cost reduction while enhancing performance.

    • Provide technical leadership in Lean Sigma methodology—defining the vision, guiding its application, and coaching associates across the organization on effective use of Lean Sigma tools. Coordinate, assist and arrange resources to endure timely project completion and measurable process improvement results.

    • Scaling up and support new product developments or modifications to existing products and processes.

    • Manufacturing troubleshooting for assigned Value Stream and overall plant-wide metrics.

    • Lead strategic projects to ensure successful implementation, drive sustained results through operational buy-in, and promote the use of Lean Sigma tools.

    • Continuous improvement of product and process capabilities by implementing automation and control solutions aimed at achieving Six Sigma quality and minimizing variation.

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Materials Science required; Master’s degree preferred.

    Experience:

    This position is part of the Engineering team and reports directly to the Engineering Manager. The Process Engineer will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives through exceptional project management and leadership capabilities. Success in this role requires a strong technical foundation coupled with leadership skills, curiosity, and passion for continuous

     

    improvement. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding team-building skills, both as an effective collaborator and as a mentor and trainer. A proven ability to lead change and implement innovative solutions to enhance process and product capabilities, as well as overall productivity, is essential. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to engage across all levels of the organization and demands expertise in vertical slice management.

     

    • 5-7 years of manufacturing experience.

    • Experience in process driven, continuous operations - wire and cable experience highly desirable.

    • Experience leading high performance work teams.

    • Demonstrated leadership skills.

    • Experience with process control and new product introduction technologies.

    • Proven project management skills.

    • Strong record of Lean Sigma Tools implementation.
