Caseload Details: Therapeutic day school (year-round)
Locations: Multiple campuses
Start/End Date: ASAP – End of School Year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Summary
The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality services to students with special needs from kindergarten through grade 12. This role requires a strong commitment to collaborative planning and implementation of individualized student programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and consultation with general education staff.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract, or district regulations
+ Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)
+ State Teacher Certification (any of the following preferred):
+ Standard Elementary Teaching
+ Standard Secondary Teaching
+ Standard Special Teaching
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
