CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Technical Project Administrator.

**Work Hours:** M–F, 8am–5pm, with some overtime and occasional weekend support required
**Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering (preferred)
Description
The **Technical Project Administrator** provides essential administrative and project management support to ensure the safe and efficient planning, execution, and completion of a capacity increase project for the Optical Fiber Cable operation. This role is responsible for coordinating project activities, managing safety aspects, maintaining documentation, tracking progress, and facilitating effective communication between team members and stakeholders. Additionally, the position provides technical support on the floor for equipment installation and troubleshooting.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Support:
• Assist project managers and team members with daily administrative and project coordination tasks.
• Manage project safety aspects and documentation.
• Maintain and monitor project schedules, deadlines, and calendars.
• Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes.
• Manage correspondence and communication across project teams.
2. Day-to-Day Support:
• Oversee contractor safety paperwork and manage PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Review) documentation for each line.
• Handle ordering requests for equipment and team needs.
• Track and manage inventory and material movements between plants.
• Assist with parts logistics and movement for builds and conversions.
• Provide hands-on technical support and coordination as required.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation, including contracts, budgets, and schedules.
• Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare regular progress reports and updates for management and stakeholders.
4. Coordination and Communication:
• Facilitate communication among project team members, departments, and external partners.
• Coordinate resource allocation and ensure necessary tools and materials are available.
• Serve as the main point of contact for project-related inquiries.
5. Budget and Resource Management:
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure compliance with financial parameters.
• Process invoices, purchase orders, and related documentation.
6. Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and issues and escalate them as appropriate.
• Assist in implementing mitigation and contingency plans.
7. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all project activities adhere to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor quality and verify that deliverables meet defined standards.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is highly desired.
Experience:
• Proven experience in administrative or technical project coordination roles.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in project management tools (Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana, or similar).
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
• Experience with data analysis tools such as JMP or Minitab is desired.
Soft Skills:
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Self-motivated and proactive with strong accountability.
• Safety-focused mindset.
Preferred Qualifications / Certifications
• Project Management certification (CAPM, PMP) preferred.
• Experience with Optical Fiber Cable industry or similar technical projects.
• OSHA Safety certification preferred.
Work Environment
• Hybrid role combining office and floor-based responsibilities.
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project needs.
• Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and multitasking.
• Work within a Clean Room environment requiring adherence to safety and handling protocols.
