Job Description
The Patient Access Scheduling Supervisor oversees staff scheduling and coverage across all Patient Access departments at both hospital locations. This role provides direct supervision of float pool, PRN, and second-position staff, ensuring appropriate coverage for scheduled and unscheduled absences, peak volumes, and training overlap. The Supervisor manages on-call rotation schedules, utilizes Shift Wizard for schedule management and transparency, and works to maintain compliance with corporate policies, departmental standards, and regulatory requirements while supporting staff satisfaction and patient-centered service.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
+ Demonstrated knowledge of staff scheduling in a healthcare environment
+ Experience supervising or scheduling staff in Patient Access or a related department
+ Good organizational and analytical skills
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
+ Knowledge of database, scheduling, payroll, and time and attendance applications (shift wizard experience preferred)
+ Experience with float pool or multi-site scheduling
