District Overview

HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization.

Location

This position is based out of Lenexa, KS with the expectation of being in office.

Responsibilities

+ Partner with hiring leaders to deeply understand role requirements, team dynamics, and long-term business objectives.

+ Consult and advise managers on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and best practices to shape effective hiring strategies.

+ Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and guiding candidates through the process.

+ Ensure an exceptional candidate experience by maintaining timely communication, transparency, and professionalism at every stage.

+ Negotiate offers strategically, balancing candidate expectations with organizational goals to secure top talent.

+ Develop and maintain strong talent pipelines through proactive networking, referrals, and engagement with passive candidates.

+ Leverage creative sourcing strategies, including social media, niche job boards, and industry events, to attract diverse talent.

+ Analyze and report recruitment metrics to identify trends, improve processes, and demonstrate ROI to stakeholders.

+ Stay ahead of talent acquisition trends, incorporating innovative tools, technologies, and methodologies into hiring practices.

+ Champion employer branding initiatives, ensuring the organization is positioned as an employer of choice in the marketplace.

Qualifications

+ Experience: 3+ years in corporate or agency recruiting, ideally focused on Engineering or Construction.

+ Knowledge: Deep understanding of the engineering and construction sector and its unique staffing challenges.

+ Skills: Strong communicator, relationship builder, and strategic thinker.

+ Tools: Comfortable with ATS systems and modern recruiting platforms.

+ Drive: Organized, adaptable, and ready to deliver results in a collaborative team environment.
