Position Summary:
Supervises individual contributors, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. Implements day-to-day strategies to ensure quality controls are in place to monitor, measure, and report compliance with all regulatory agencies. Adheres to quality standard testing and evaluation processes that follow best practices for product testing and process validation. Directs workflow of systems and processes that follow quality assurance best practices for manufacturing, including documentation and auditing. Assists in collaboration and meetings with multiple teams on overall quality strategy, updates, and processes. Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within expected standards. Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Supervise and lead a team of QC Analysts, providing guidance and support to achieve exceptional results.
+ Schedule and review routine Environmental Monitoring and Microbiological Testing (ex: compressed gas sampling, Bac-T, endotoxin testing, mycoplasma, and MALDI-ToF)
+ Provide oversight of gown qualification/requalification of personnel, and assist staff in clean room as needed.
+ Support Aseptic Process Simulations and visual inspection of components.
+ Create, review, and approve relevant QC documents, SOPs, and WIs.
+ Utilize electronic systems (eLIMS) for execution and documentation of testing.
+ Approve QC microbiology laboratory data.
+ Initiate and approve quality investigations, CAPAs, and change controls related to microbiology.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and successfully implement process enhancements.
+ Perform tasks in a manner consistent with the safety policies, quality systems and cGMP requirements
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required; focused degree in Biological Science or equivalent technical field preferred in Microbiology
Experience and Skills:
Required:
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in a QC role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
+ A minimum of 2 years of people leadership experience
+ Proficient in microbiological testing techniques and methods.
+ Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and industry standards.
+ Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain strict adherence to protocols.
+ Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
+ Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
+ Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and stand for extended periods.
Preferred:
+ Experience with aseptic techniques and environmental monitoring.
+ Knowledge of statistical analysis and data interpretation.
+ Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
+ Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles.
Other:
+ This position is anticipated to have up to 10% travel
+ This role will have a shift of Sunday- Wednesday 2pm-12am.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$77,000- $124,200 USD$
