  • Merchandising Manager

    Wayfair (Boston, MA)

    Apply Now

In office requirements: This is a hybrid role based out of our Boston office (4 days/week in office, 1 day/week remote)

At this time, Wayfair will not sponsor applicants for this position for the following work visas: F1-OPT, STEM OPT EAD, H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, J-1, or TN.

    About the Role

Wayfair is seeking a motivated, process-driven, and analytical leader to join our Premium Brand Merchandising Team as a Product Merchandising Manager for Specialty Products. This high-impact role is focused on owning and optimizing the operational success of two of our most critical initiatives.

This is not a traditional merchandising role. We are looking for a "process owner" and a "program builder" who thrives on turning complex, early-stage ideas into scalable, efficient, and best-in-class operations. The ideal candidate is a master of cross-functional project management, a natural problem-solver, and an emerging leader excited to manage both high-priority programs and a growing team.

    What You'll Do

+ Manage the end-to-end operational workflow for getting high-priority SKUs "site-ready" to the highest standard, coordinating all key merchandising levers (imagery, copy, product tags, video content, option display).

+ Serve as the primary user and process owner of our Airtable project management tool, tracking SKU progress and managing assignments across numerous cross-functional teams.

+ Actively re-engineer and optimize this process, identifying bottlenecks, eliminating inefficiencies, and building a scalable solution for the long term.

+ Define and execute a "best-in-class" site merchandising strategy for all "Verified" products, ensuring we effectively communicate their quality and value to the customer.

+ Partner with Product, Engineering, and Creative teams to develop and roll out new site features that enhance the "Verified" program experience.

+ Lead, mentor, and develop one direct report, managing their day-to-day responsibilities and supporting their long-term career growth.

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, acting as the central point of communication for these programs.

+ Prepare and present performance metrics, program updates, and process-improvement proposals to senior leaders.

    What You'll Need

+ 3-6 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment. Ideal backgrounds include: E-commerce, Program Management, Project Management, Business Operations, or Management Consulting.

+ A "process-builder" mindset: A proven ability to analyze complex, ambiguous, or broken processes and re-engineer them for efficiency and scalability.

+ Exceptional project management skills: Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple complex projects with many cross-functional dependencies.

+ Tech-Savvy: High proficiency with project management software is required. Direct, hands-on experience with Airtable (or similar tools like Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet) is a strong plus.

+ Strong Leadership Potential: Prior experience managing direct reports is a huge plus. A demonstrated history of mentorship and a readiness to lead are essential.

+ Excellent Communication: Ability to influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and present clearly to senior leadership.
