    Position Title Web Works Programmer

     

    Student Status Work Study Optional –You are not required to be a Federal Work Study Recipient to hold this position.

    Hiring Range $15/hour

    Applicants must be currently authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.

     

    Department/Employer Operating Hours Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

     

    How many hours per week are required? 10-20

     

    Description of Primary Duties

     

    The Web Works Programmer creates and maintains web applications for the University and develops creative projects that enhance the main University web site.

     

    The Web Works Programmer is supervised by the Full Stack Developer/Engineer.

    Primary duties:

    + Writes code for dynamic and interactive web applications using advanced programming knowledge including JavaScript and server-side programming languages such as C# and PHP .

    + Develops and maintains large-scale JavaScript applications.

    + Utilizes external APIs including or similar to Google Maps, Elasticsearch, Modern Campus, etc.

    + Uses SQL and NoSQL data systems.

    + Uses Git for source control.

    + Provides technical support for users of Web Works applications.

    Required Qualifications

    Education:

    + Must be enrolled in classes for the current semester.

    + Must have completed at least one year of classwork in either a CSC or an ITC major.

    Experience:

    + Experience with HTML / XML , JavaScript, CSS , . NET , React, SQL database design/maintenance, and techniques for web accessibility is preferred.

    Skills:

    + Effective communication skills, the ability to work independently and the ability to learn technology quickly is required.

    + Must maintain confidentiality and security standards regarding information processed, stored or accessed.
