Job Description:

WGR 550 AM is seeking technically-savvy candidates for a FULL TIME positionoverseeing the control room operation in a multi-faceted LIVE audio

environment.

The anticipated starting salary range for New York-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $34,000.00/Yr.-$34,000.00/Yr..

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

+ Maintain Program and Commercial Log

+ Operation of Audio Control Board for Live, Satellite, Paid andPre-Recorded Programming

+ Work with Show Hosts

+ Recording and Editing Audio

+ Uploading Audio and Posting Information on Websites…Podcasts

+ Transmission and Reception of EAS Weekly and EAS Monthly Tests

+ Monitoring Broadcast Stations (6 Total) and all Building relatedemergencies. If problems are detected you will need to notify ourEngineer on Call immediately. (Posted Numbers for them are in each Control Room Studio)

+ Other duties as required by management

Qualifications

Required & Preferred:

+ Candidates should possess audio board operation skills, digital editingabilities, be able to multi-task and adapt to change in afast-paced environment

+ Successful candidates will interact well with LIVE on-air talent, have live on-air experience, be aproblem solver and work to keep the operation within mandated FCCguidelines

+ Flexible Schedules are preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and/or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Position requires ability to manipulate knobs, levers and push buttons.
